They've been hot and cold many times before, but it looks like Katy Perry and John Mayer are officially calling it quits after getting back together earlier this year.
It's been hard to keep with their on-again, off-again relationship, but when TMZ caught them canoodling at a Fourth of July Grateful Dead concert, it was clear they had reignited their fireworks.
Sadly, according to E! Online, the rekindled romance was short-lived, and sources haven't offered any specific reason for the most recent break-up. In the past, Katy and John have parted ways due to trust issues and distance, and considering their track record, it could very well be more of the same.
Some conspiracy-minded gossip blogs are speculating whether or not Katy's alleged beef with Taylor Swift had anything to do with it. Taylor and John had dated in the past, and John defended Taylor a couple months ago when she decided to remove her music from Spotify. However, this is all just grasping at straws, and there's no concrete reason to think Taylor was involved in any way.
The source that spoke to E! Online did leave the door open for another reunion, so we might not have seen the last of Katy Perry and John Mayer just yet. As long as they're happy!
