IFC Midnight and BoulderLight Pictures are brining back Eric England's 2013 sexually transmitted horror film Contracted, and this time it's in Phase II. Contracted: Phase II, directed by Josh Forbes and penned by Craig Walendziak, tells the story of what happens when a deadly sexually transmitted disease threatens all of humanity.

According to Bloody Disgusting, fans of the first film will be able to pick up right where the film's blackout ending left off:

Phase II follows the story of Samantha as she suffers from a mysterious and degenerative disease. Picking up directly where the previous film left off, Phase II follows Riley, one of the last people to come in contact with Samantha, as he scrambles to track down those responsible for the outbreak before the highly contagious disease not only consumes his body, but the world as we know it.

Check out the trailer for Contracted: Phase II below:

Contracted: Phase II will be in theaters and hits On Demand and Digital release starting September 4th, 2015.
