So, it's taking a lot longer for Jordan Vogt-Roberts' Kong: Skull Island to get made. That's okay! We can be patient. Especially if they're taking the time to get the cast down perfectly to a tee.
While both J.K. Simmons and Michael Keaton had to leave the project due to scheduling conflicts, we are happy to hear that Legendary Pictures is looking to Russell Crowe to replace the role. We are also ecstatic to find out that Brie Larson has just recently been cast to join Tom Hiddleston.
You may recognize Larson from her many roles ranging from United States of Tara, to Community, as well as Amy Schumer's recently released Trainwreck.
Welcome to the team, Brie! Although nothing is really known about the character she is set to play, we do know that this film explains the origins of Kong as well as gives us background information on where he was raised.
