Before I saw Captain America, I heard it was being hailed as the best Marvel movie yet. It is still in my opinion. While movies like the Amazing Spider-Man 2 and X-Men: Days of Future Past have demonstrated how far these franchises have come...that progress pails before what has been done with Captain America.

There are many rumors circling around this character right now and how he will develop in the future. Keep in mind that nothing is solid until it is run through production.

Captain America runs some relevant modern day challenges when it comes to choosing how to handle issues. There is the way things were once done and there is the way things are being done now. The two are comparably black and white to each other.

It is always nice to see the Black Widow making an appearance. There is a good mixture of old characters and the introduction of new characters. Lots of cloak and dagger action. The movie goes by in a way that feels like you have not been sitting there as long as you do.

I look forward to the next wave of Marvel movies coming up. This is a good time for movie development right now. "The Age of Ultron" poster looks pretty intense.

Update: I am really excited to see what will happen in Captain America 3: Civil War.
