Disney Princess fan art has been many things. Lately it has been all about giving them a dose of reality whether it be real curves, short hair or some extra body hair here and there.
Of all the attempts to take the Princesses from dreams to human beings, Bev Johnson's is probably the most successful. Her Princesses have a good sprinkling of earthiness, of actual human reality in both shape and personality. The bestie pairings are pretty much perfect. These girls can be seen walking the halls of any high school.

Elsa and Anna
Not only do Elsa and Anna look and react like actual sisters, their big sister and little sister dynamics are transferred completely. Their fashion style also makes the transition from past to modern couture.
Ariel and Jasmine
Ariel is so identifiable as that one friend you love but wish would shut up sometimes. The look on Jasmine face is so precious. These two are obviously going to be besties no matter what.
Belle and Aurora
Belle and Aurora form the classic OCD and Depressive couple. Belle's smarts keeps Aurora from facing too much detention for sleeping in class.
Cinderella and Pocahontas
Another great light and dark pairing not only in skin tone but in personality. I love the updated look of Pocahontas' Indian costume. Her choice of jewelry is so spot on.
Merida and Rapunzel
Merida's irritation is the perfect complement to Rapunzel's dreamy contemplation. The perfect matching of wild child and flower child.
