BEFORE THE MOVIE:
I am really really really looking forward to watch EX_MACHINA! The reviews have been G-L-O-W-I-N-G so far and the premise looks really intruiging. Again, another A.I story, but this one looks VERY different from the others. I am really looking forward to see what first time director Alex Garland brings to the table and hopefully this will be another good indie film. Let's see!
AFTER THE MOVIE:
Holy.......s***............W.O.W!!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus! WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW!
OK! First off, the cinematography is MIND-BLOWINGLY AMAZEBALLS AMAZING! IT'S SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFULLY SHOT! Rob Hardy is a cinematographer where you will hear his name in 2-3 years from now, or maybe in the 2016 OSCARS! It's SOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL and atmospheric. And speaking of atmospheric, the music is absolutely amazing and eery. You will also hear Ben Salisbury and Geoff Barrow's name pop-up in 2-3 years or maybe at this year's oscars!
I have to admit, the first act of the movie (The first 30 minutes) is boring beyond belief and I wasn't enjoying it AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!! But then, we meet Ava (Alicia Vikander). And things, slowly, are starting to get REALLY interesting! And when the final act happens, you are B-R-E-A-T-H-L-E-S-S. The ending is so well done and it is executed perfectly. Basically, the first 30 minutes of the movie are buildup and then.......BOOM! Immersion.....to the MAX! The performances are absolutely amazing. Oscar Isaac is revelatory and Domhnall Gleeson and Alicia Vikander have a great chemistry. I wasn't a big fan of Alicia Vikander's acting in "Seventh Son", but now I can't wait to see what she brings next to the table in "The Man From U.N.C.L.E". Even though I shouldn't probably say this, "Ex-Machina" is pure C-I-N-E-M-A.
