On Sunday the heartbreaking news about Bobbi Kristina was released via a statement from the Houston family. Sadly, the lovely daughter of Bobbi Brown and the late Whitney Houston passed away, aged just 22 years old.

Bobbi was tragically found unconscious and unresponsive 6 months ago in a bathtub by her partner, Nick Gordon. Bobbi Kristina never regained full consciousness again. She was placed into a medically induced coma and remained on life support, but her condition only deteriorated. Bobbi Kristina and Whitney were inseparably close and it seems Bobbi struggled to cope with her passing.

The Houston Family revealed their statement on Whitney Houston's Website:

It is hard to say goodbye. On Sunday, July 26, Bobbi Kristina Brown made her transition peacefully. The family thanks everyone for their loving thoughts and prayers.

As Bobbi Kristina would say: "The wind is behind me and the sun is in my face.”

Alongside the statement, the family added this touching image of ''Krissi'' and her Mom

Bobbi Kristina was known as ''Krissi'' to those closest to her.

Here is one of Bobbi Kristina's last photos posted on Twitter. It reveales the huge love that Bobbi had for her mom.

Despite her sorrow, in the weeks before Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive she seemed pretty optimistic about life:

I just think it is so unbelievably heartbreaking that Bobbi Kristina never had a chance to create the future she had begun planning for herself. Her mother, Whitney, was found deceased in a bathtub in February, 2012, in a tragically similar situation to how Bobbi Kristina was found. At the time of her mother's death, Bobbi Kristina was just 18 and was at the hotel at the time that Whitney was found. Bobbi Kristina ended up being temporarily hospitalized afterwards to help her cope with this tremendous loss.

In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Bobbi Kristina revealed:

"She wasn’t only a mother, she was a best friend."

Rest in peace, Bobbi Kristina.
