Despite being one of the most jaw-dropping beautiful and most widely spoken about actresses of all time, much mystery surrounds the beautiful Norma Jeane Mortenson a.k.a. Marilyn Monroe. This beautiful and legendary actress is famously known for her divinely breathy voice and stunning hourglass figure. But, astonishingly Marilyn had chronic insecurities regarding her acting abilities which affected the films she starred in.

Cosmopolitan magazine gathered some rare images of the starlet which are pretty unknown. These images give us another peek into the mysterious world of America's Sweetheart during the time when her fame was rocketing upward.
