Action star Vin Diesel headlines The Last Witch Hunter, a supernatural fantasy thriller from Lionsgate Entertainment, which debuts October 23, 2015.
As immortal witch hunter Kaulder, he reluctantly partners with a beautiful female colleague, played by Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones; Downton Abbey) to save New York City from several covens who intend on wreaking fatal havoc by way of a plague.
The film also stars Michael Caine, Elijah Wood, Rena Owen, Julie Englebrecht, Olafur Darri Olaffson and Issach De Bankole.
Pro wrestling fans will be glad to learn that pro grappler and Olympic Gold Medalist, Kurt Angle also appears in The Last Witch Hunter. Angle lives in Pittsburgh where filming took place in 2014.
In June, Vin Diesel reported on his Facebook page that the producers of the film are so excited about The Last Witch Hunter that they’ve asked him to block out time in the future for filming a sequel.
He is, of course, quite busy so don’t look for the proverbial cart to get too far ahead of the horse.
Among his projects include the war pic, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, which is in post-production and Furious 8, which is due out in 2017.
