Bad movies come around all the time. As long as movies have existed there have been some really horrible films. Today, everyone's source to find out if a movie is horrible or not is Rotten Tomatoes. For those who don't know, a movie's Rotten Tomatoes score is an average of all critic reviews. Can you believe that there are actually movies that have a 0% approval rating? It's really crazy to think that a movie could be that horrible. There are very few movies that have a 0% approval but here are five movies that the critics really disliked.
A Thousand Words
There was a time where Eddie Murphy was the funniest man alive. Unfortunately however, one of his recent projects, A Thousand Words, failed to impress. I will say that I saw the film and didn't think it was that bad. Critics felt completely the opposite, however. Eddie Murphy's character Jack McCall basically has a thousand words left until he dies. It is very similar to Jim Carrey's Liar Liar but nowhere near as good. It is really crazy to think that this movie was so bad it got 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, especially if Eddie Murphy is involved.
One Missed Call
There have been plenty horrible Japanese horror remakes but One Missed Call may be the worst of them all. The film that is basically about a killer cellphone failed to impress both fans and critics alike. With 0% approval on Rotten Tomatoes, some have deemed this film as the worst horror movie ever! There have been some pretty bad horror films and to be the worst of the worst is pretty bad. An uninspired twist and lackadaisical plot is what really makes this film rotten.
Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star
Bucky Larson: Born To Be A Star is almost always considered one of the worst films of all time. The film is so bad it actually has gained a bit of a cult following. A socially awkward guy named Bucky Larson finds out his parents were pornstars and attempts to continue the family legacy. When the film was released I actually was interested in it. I personally am a fan of Nick Swardson and I was really disappointed in this film. The movie was so bad that it was actually pretty funny. I couldn't believe that such a film would ever be made and I couldn't help but have a laugh or two.
SUPERBABIES: Baby Geniuses 2
One Superbabies film just wasn't enough, huh? There just had to be a sequel right? Well there was and it was horrible. So horrible that not one critic out of 45 gave the film a positive score. Filled with horribly executed and childish jokes, not many people, fan or critic, found the film funny. Not many people even remember the original Superbabies and it amazes me that it got a sequel. The movie was anything but super, which resulted in its infantile score.
Ballistic: Ecks vs Sever
Ballistic: Ecks vs Sever is universally considered one of the top 5 worst movies of all time. With a 70 million dollar budget, Ballistic: Ecks vs Sever was the last film people thought would completely fail. Starring Antonio Banderas and Lucy Liu, it was really puzzling to me that a studio pumped 70 million dollars into this film, not to mention they produced a mildly popular Game Boy Advanced game. This film is one of the all time greatest flops in film history. This is definitely a film that deserves its 0% approval rating.
