Matt Damon's return to the Jason Bourne franchise is starting to pull in some more big names. According to Variety, Tommy Lee Jones has signed on to star in the next Bourne installment, but there are no confirmed details on his role yet. The rumor is that he will be playing a CIA officer high up in the chain.

Alicia Vikander, the alluring A.I. in this year's Ex Machina, will also be making her debut in the action series. Julia Stiles will return, presumably as her familiar character Nicky Parsons.

Though plot details are still under lock and key at this time, we do know that Paul Greengrass, who did two of the best Bourne movies, is returning to direct. That's a great sign for fans of The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, as this is looking more and more like a return to those movies after Jeremy Renner took center stage in The Bourne Legacy.

There is still plenty of time for more covert news to make its way to us since the still-untitled movie is slated to premiere July 29, 2016.
