There are many accomplished actors in this world, but there are very few actors who pique mankind's collective interest like the excellent, borderline-insane, multi-talented Nicolas Cage. Having watched all of his movies and enjoyed 78% of them (Sorry Ghost Rider franchise, there's only so much I can take), these are the 7 great lessons I've picked up across Cage's storied career.

#1: You Can Be Anything You Want To Be With Enough Determination (And Experimental Surgery...)

Who's that sexy face?
Who's that sexy face?

Just as Nicolas Cage became John Travolta playing Nicolas Cage in Face/Off, so too can you be anything you put your mind to! Hopefully your goals don't require million-dollar surgeries to accomplish, but in any case, I'm sure you can accomplish them anyway!

#2: Don't Piss People Off (Unless You Don't Mind Getting Stung...)

Not the bees!
Not the bees!

Sometimes it's just better to let people live the way they want to. Now, I'm not saying you shouldn't try to rescue your loved ones if they get kidnapped by a cult of people who practice human sacrifice. (Yes, this is from The Wicker Man. No, I make no apologies for loving this film!) I'm just saying don't start philosophical debates unnecessarily, because you never know who the real crazies are.

#3: Organization Is One Of The Keys To Success!

Ah Vampire's Kiss, you amazing flick!
Ah Vampire's Kiss, you amazing flick!

If you're going to get ahead in life, it's important to get your affairs in order. That means filing things ACCORDING TO ALPHABETICAL ORDER!! That amazing clip aside, it really is important to keep your important documents and notes carefully organized, lest you be terrorized by your wife, your boss, or scariest of all, Nicolas Cage from Vampire's Kiss!

#4: Don't Mess With Other People's Things!

God, I love this movie.
God, I love this movie.

This should go without saying, but it's important to remember that even if you're a minor henchman on an airplane full of deadly murderers and rapists, you shouldn't take things that don't belong to you. Otherwise Nicolas Cage might go Con Air on your ass and throw you out of that plane!

#5: When In Doubt, Laugh It Out!

It's important to laugh when in dire situations.
It's important to laugh when in dire situations.

When life gets you down, sometimes all you can do is try to see the funny side. Just like Nicolas Cage did when he played John Travolta playing Nicolas Cage (I can't get over how completely insane that sounds) in Face/Off, you need to show people that you can make it through the tough times as well as the sunny ones. Laughing maniacally is also a great intimidation tactic if that's something you're in the market for!

#6: Try Not To Get Too Heated!

Someone's looking a little fevered...
Someone's looking a little fevered...

Unlike Nicolas Cage from Ghost Rider, you should try to keep cool when in stressful situations. I know he can't really control his powers, but you can! (Unless Dr. Banner is reading this right now, in which case I'll be nerding out HARDCORE) Don't burn up when crap hits the fan, because you can always make better decisions when your head isn't on fire.

#7: Don't Worry About What Other People Think!

I'm an international terrorist! Who cares?
I'm an international terrorist! Who cares?

Not only is this my favorite Nicolas Cage gif; it's an important lesson! There will always be people who try to bring you down for who you are, what you enjoy, and what you like to do. Don't listen to needless criticism! Go out and be who you want to be, folks!

That's all the insight I've found so far from the candid Mr. Cage, so until next time, go out and watch some Nicolas Cage movies! They're the best! Don't forget to leave a comment if you have a suggestion for another article, and as always, have a KILLER day!
