11 years ago the first three books from Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events were lovingly crafted into a film. The film followed the three Baudelaire children who, after losing their parents and house to a fire, were forced to live with Count Olaf. Unfortunately for the Baudelaires, Olaf was only interested in their inheritance, and so began the children's fight to stay out of the grips of the Count and his dastardly minions.

The movie starred a bevy of big names, though reviews from dedicated fans of the series were slightly mixed due to the fact that it crammed three books into one film. Regardless, many were left disappointed after the studio decided not to adapt the remaining 10 books.

Fortunately for die-hard Snicket lovers, Netflix plans on bringing the series to life in a 13 episode original series in 2016. However, until the series hits screens take a look at what the cast of the original film looks like now, 11 years later:

Jim Carrey as Count Olaf

Kara and Shelby Hoffman as Sunny Baudelaire

What they've been in since: Following Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events the Hoffman twins appear to have stopped acting, though they both appeared as themselves in several episodes of the Kroll Show.

Timothy Spall as Mr. Poe
