Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
With all the info, we learned through various media outlets. We've learned Batman is a veteran vigilante who went into retirement due to the loss of Robin from the hands of The Joker. This Batman which is heavily influenced by Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns, is more aggressive & gritty. At the age of 45, he stands at 6'4, with a large muscular bulk frame, which gives him an intimidation factor over criminals. He is the vigilante, the one who's willing to cross the line to protect people. He's emotionally more angry & tired by his past 20 yrs fighting the Underworld of Gotham . He's even captured every criminal in the Suicide Squad, in the course of his run as Batman.
Upon their retirement following Robin's death, likely when Bruce was 40 yrs old. Alfred & Bruce have moved on from their urban warfare. Even moving out of Wayne Manor into a smaller home on the grounds, called the Glasshouse. But with the arrival of the alien, Kal-El & following the destructive Battle of Metropolis, that he witnessed first hand. Superman causes Bruce to come out of his 5 yrs of retirement to take on the Man of Steel. This also causes Bruce to question his own philosophies on justice & mankind.
Much like Man of Steel, the world remains divided on Superman. Some people see him as a savior, a god. A being who defended Earth against his own people. Some people like Lex, dislike that he does what ever he wants & has the power to do so. And others just don't know what to think of him.
Clark himself isn't really sure how to prove to the world, that he's on their side. He even goes to a meeting with the U.S. Senate, to explain his actions & reasons. Kal-El has a lot of opinions from mankind's perception of him. Clark also has been investigating other cases of vigilantes & (probably) metahumans. One in particular is the one from across the bay in Gotham City. The vigilante, an urban legend in the city know as The Batman. A man who takes the law into his owns hands, a man who severely brutalizes criminals when hunting them down. With such parallel views of ideologies on justice, Superman is likely to see Batman as a villain and Batman's feelings will be the same.
In continuation, we know Lex Luthor as the head of The conglomerate known as LexCorp. And he wants to rid the world of the threat he sees as Superman. Acquiring General Zod's corpse & kryptonite, Lex probably discovers the weaknesses in the kryptonian physiology. And with his intellectual mind, he's likely to orchestrate the fight of Batman & Superman to his own questionable means. There's a lot more of info, that will be addressed in part 2 of my posts. Thanks for reading my article.
