This week in the news, an American dentist paid $50k to murder a lion named Cecil, whilst Cara Delevingne got seriously pissy promoting Paper Towns on morning TV, but by far the most important thing to happen was the trailer for Seth Rogen's R-rated Christmas comedy The Night Before dropping.

Feast your eyes on it below (warning: contains knitted Christmas sweaters).

The Sony Pictures holiday flick (from the team who "almost" brought you The Interview) sees Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie hit the streets of NYC on Christmas Eve for what could be the last time. There's dodgy cocaine, a recurring Miley Cyrus gag (she also cameos), a whole bunch of Jewish-themed one liners, inappropriate vomiting, and some Mindy Kaling-and-Lizzy Caplan action just for good measure. Presumably Kat Dennings was unavailable.

The best line from the trailer? Rogen's Isaac is presented with a goody box so full of drugs it's basically glowing. "Is this cocaine? I haven't done cocaine in 11 years, I don't think..." "No one has, I don't think!", replies his wife with a straight face. Needless to say, the 11-year drought ends swiftly, and Isaac's drug-fueled adventures don't turn out so well.

The Night Before drops November 25 - that's plenty of time to dig out your biggest, grossest Christmas sweater.
