The One is about a man who tries to kill alternate versions of himself in different realities, in order to gain more power. While doing this, he is being chased by police who also travel to alternate realities, and he runs into another version of himself. The basic plot is that he fights himself and tries to convince these cops he's not a murderer.
The Giver is about a futuristic utopian society. There's order, discipline and conformity. Every person has a role in society, as a job is given to them at the age of 18. Jonas is given the job of The Receiver, who receives memories and feelings from The Giver. These feelings help him break off from the utopian society and conformity and he tries to set everyone free from their brainwashed minds.
The Butterfly Effect
The Butterfly Effect is about Evan Treborn, who has the ability to change his life by thinking of, reading, or viewing a certain memory of his past. We find out that just one small detail can change Evan's entire life. Henceforth known as The Butterfly Effect. Throughout the film, Evan tries to change his life, which always ends up with pros and cons. In the end, he learns a valuable lesson.
