For those of you who are achingly awaiting the next dose of flesh-eating, blood-splattered, resurrected infections, get ready to be very excited. AMC's latest zombie apocalypse series, Fear the Walking Dead, is right around the corner. And naturally, in order to tingle your eager taste buds, they have released a little teaser trailer to get you prepped for the main meal.

In a mere 20 days on August 23rd, the "companion series" to the network's biggest baby, The Walking Dead, will premiere at 9:00pm ET/PT with an extended 90 minute episode. That's one and a half hours of pure hell-returned chaos unraveling in LA. And we cannot wait.

The story is set in the same universe as The Walking Dead and follows the undead apocalypse as it unravels and throws itself on the suburban life of a dysfunctional family. A tale of terror, the outbreak forces the characters to delve into their darker histories and reinvent themselves in order to survive.

Watch the teaser trailer, 'Lights Out LA,' below.

The series is produced by Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, David Alpert and will star Kim Dickens as Madison, Cliff Curtis as Travis, Frank Dillane as Nick, Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia, Elizabeth Rodriguez as Liza, Ruben Blades as Daniel, Mercedes Mason as Ofelia and Lorenzo James Henrie as Chris.
