It's finally here people! I have been eagerly awaiting official footage ever since that test footage was released about a year ago. The Deadpool red band trailer has been released across the web after making its debut on "Conan"

The movie is based upon one of Marvel's most unconventional anti-heroes, Deadpool will provide us with the origin story of former special operations soldier Wade Wilson and his transition as a mercenary through rogue experiments and unconventional training.

With his new abilities , super healing process and a dark twisted sense of humor Wade Wilson adopts the character of Deadpool, ready to hunt down the people responsible for nearly destroying his life.

Ryan Reynolds stars as the title character alongside T.J. Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Morena Baccarin as Copycat and Ed Skrein as Ajax, in the trailer we also see mutant Colossus.

In an interview Ryan Reynolds also expressed his desire of Hugh Jackman making a cameo appearance as The Wolverine, though such a thing still remains unofficial and unconfirmed.

Tim Miller is directing the movie from a script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Confirmed to be rated R, Deadpool is scheduled for a release on February 12, 2016.

Easter Eggs & References:

Firstly we begin by the most obvious references regarding Ryan Reynolds previous work to the Green Lantern. We have some of the character's origins story, and some who are more difficult to notice, so let us have a look.

The Cancer: Just like in the comics we will see that the character will be battling cancer, and his haunting appearance is due to the regeneration and healing of his cells.

Green Lantern Suit reference:

One of the highlights of the trailer is while Wade WIlson is being wheeled into the experiment room he shouts "Please don't make my suit green or animated." This is an obvious reference to Ryan Reynolds portrayal of the Green Lantern in which no actual costume was used but rather a computer generated animation appearance.

The Car Fight:

Coming straight from the original test footage which allowed this movie to be green lighted for production is the iconic car fight we see in the trailer. While there are some changes in the movie we still hear Deadpool's joke regarding his red suit and the brown pant's worn by one of the mercenaries.

Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead:

More Marvel characters making an appearance and both of them are mutants, Colossus is known for his metal skin (which can be turned on and off) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead has telepathy and a limited ability of seeing into the future.

With Great Power:

The title cards on the trailers say "With great power comes great irresponsibility" taken directly from Spider-man's famous line "With great power comes great responsibility." But since we are dealing with a character like Deadpool it's only right that a word such as "irresponsibility" is used.

Street Signs:

On the right road sign we see the name of Fabian Nicieza, the person who put the first words on Deadpool's mouth in the earlier stories.

Deadpool will hit Theaters on Feb 12 2016
