ByJonathan Decker, writer at announced today that they're re-releasing the existing six Star Wars films in (admittedly gorgeous) limited edition steelbooks on November 10. A repackaged nine-disc set (with 40 hours of previously-released bonus features) is coming October 10. It seems that Lucasfilm returns to the re-release well almost annually at this point without giving fans what they really want: remastered versions of the original, unaltered trilogy, as it was before the Special Edition revisions. For now, it appears that millions of voices hoping for those versions this fall have cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

Will you be buying either the repackaged set or the Steelbooks this fall?
