Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice is no doubt gonna be one of THE most highly anticipated films of 2016. Here I'm going to be giving you ten reasons why you should be getting pumped for this film.
1. Batman and Superman will be on the big screen together for the first time in history.
For the first time ever in movie history Batman and Superman will be in the same movie on the big screen coming on March 25th 2016. This has never been done before and seeing two icons sharing the screen together for the first time should get you beyond excited.
2. Batman and Superman will be going toe for toe.
This has to be the number one reason why everybody wants to see this film, Batman and Superman are going to fight in this film. This is what millions of people have been waiting for as a child seeing these two icons go face to face in one movie. So far we've got very little footage of the fight between the two but from what we've seen it will be nothing short of spectacular and will pack a cinematic punch come March.
3.The action will be bigger.
Criticize Snyder way of storytelling all you want, but the one thing you can never talk down is the way that man can handle action in a movie. Man of Steel, despite being a very controversial movie had one thing that everybody agree on was it action. Man of Steel probably had some of the best comic book action scenes of all time and it doesn't seem like Zack Snyder will be taking a step back with the action in Batman v. Superman either. The scale seems to be bigger in Dawn of Justice and that can only excite fans after what we saw in Man of Steel.
4. Wonder Woman.
Wonder Woman is a big part of the DC universe and for the first time ever she will have her first theatrical debut ever played by Gal Gadot in the upcoming film Batman v. Superman Dawn of Justice. There are still mixed feelings on the casting of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and how she will possibly be portrayed in the film but have no fear. If Snyder can make Faora in Man of Steel a badass and a standout villain in the film imagine what Zack will do with the Amazonian warrior. I doubt she will have too much of a significant role in the film but from the footage from the Comic-Con trailer she is definitely gonna be a badass in combat.
5. Follow up of the battle of Metropolis.
After the battle between Zod and Superman during Man of Steel, it left Metropolis in a wake of destruction and devastation. In Batman vs Superman there will be profound ramifications, from what we've seen from the trailers it seems like there will be a strong emphasis on this and it a more fitting way to enhance Lex Luthor and enhance his conflict with Superman. Also this could give us a look into Superman perspective and how he feels about all this. How has the death of Zod's murder by his hands effected him? How does Batman (well we know how Batman feels) Wonder Woman and other heroes feel about the way he ended the conflict with Zod and his forces. What happened in Metropolis is a big deal and it good to see they're pushing this forward and not forgetting about it.
6. DC's Trinity will unite.
As come to no surprise to anyone more than likely Wonder Woman, Superman and Batman will join forces at the end of this movie to battle the "threat" that the synopsis for this movie revealed. Whoever or whatever that threat is will be strong enough to force our three beloved heroes to join forces and later unite what will be known as the Trinity which will set the foundation of the Justice League.
7. Justice League Easter Eggs.
Even though Batman v. Superman will focus primarily on Batman and Superman it still a setup for the Justice League hencing the title Dawn of Justice. We will be getting cameos from Aquaman, Victor Stone (Cyborg) and possibly the Flash and Green Lantern? Who knows how these roles will play out but it good to know that DC is finally creating a cohesive movie universe where all our heroes will encounter each other at some point.
8. Post credits scene.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will more than likely have a post credits scenes at the end of the film, what that scene will contain we don't know yet. My guess is a hint at the villain of the Justice League movie but it could be a whole thread of possibilities ranging from possibly a Flash cameo to a Suicide Squad connection or maybe even Lex Luthor planning something for the future. Who knows I guess we'll just have to wait to see the movie won't we?
9. Chris Terrio
Chris Terrio, an Oscar-winning writer, worked on David S. Goyer's screenplay. Considering his previous work, Argo, thrived on dialogue and tension, this gives us some hope about the various character dynamics this movie will introduce. Like we said above, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has a fair amount on its plate (Batman/Superman relationship, Luthor, introducing new heroes), but Terrio's work on Argo really speaks for itself. Yes, Ben Affleck's Argo is a different genre and far more grounded, but the ability to craft organic, intelligent conversations is something this franchise will need to thrive. Spectacle is good and all, but it needs substance, too. Terrio seems to have what it takes to make sure there's heart and compelling material thrown in there. We have a character who needs to be the symbol of hope, two brilliant humans, and a standalone narrative which needs to open the door to a bigger picture. It won't be easy, but having Terrio on board to rework Goyer's script means it's more than possible that some of the gripes people have with Man of Steel could be addressed and resolved in this follow-up. Even if you liked Man of Steel, this should still be a promising development.
10. Comic Book Batman.
Yes I finish this article off with Batman but reason being is because we might be looking at the best adaption of Batman on the live screen ever. From all the details and footage we've heard and seen about this Batman all it does is scream best ever right in your face. When Ben Affleck was first announced as Batman people were very critical of this decision and very negative. Now two years later people are already hailing him as the definitive portrayal of Batman we have seen on the big screen and i can't wait to see his full performance when the movie comes out because i know as a major fan of Batman he will knock it out of the park.
