The year was 1993. It was summer and there was one thing on people's minds: BASEBALL. There also happened to be a little film that came out that summer called The Sandlot. Filled with good times, one-liners, and plenty of hijinks, The Sandlot worked its way into the hearts and minds of young and old folks alike. It's been 22 years now since it came out.

Here's the trailer for its release:

So how have the kids from The Lot turned out today?

Scotty Smalls - Tom Guiry

Guiry followed up his role in The Sandlot by starring in the remake of Lassie. He has continued a decent career over the years with roles in Black Hawk Down, Mystic River, Elementary, Unforgettable, and starred as one of the title characters in The Black Donnellys.

Benny "the Jet" Rodriguez - Mike Vitar

The Jet was the most talented of the bunch on the field, he also joined Adams in The Mighty Duck franchise for the 2nd and 3rd films. Off camera, Vitar chose to go into public service and has been an L.A. firefighter since 2002.

Hamilton "Ham" Porter - Patrick Renna

Renna was a recognizable face during the '90s, with roles in Son In Law and The Big Green, as well as television appearances including in Boy Meets World. Since transitioning into adult roles, his most known role would be a recurring character on Boston Legal.

Michael "Squints" Palledorous - Chauncey Leopardi

Leopardi had numerous roles early in his career, including in Father of the Bride, The Commish, and Evening Shade. He went on to appear in Freaks and Geeks along with Gilmore Girls. He even reprised his role as Squints in 2007's The Sandlot: Heading Home. His most recent appearance was in a 2013 film, Coldwater.

Alan "Yeah-Yeah" McClennan - Marty York

Aside from The Sandlot, York's only other main credits include Saved By The Bell: The College Years and Boy Meets World. Since then, he has one indie comedy to his credit, The Brothers Sinclair, in 2011. He also had some legal issues in 2009 regarding a domestic assault.

Kenny DeNunez - Brandon Quintin Adams

Adams was very active in showbiz as a kid. He had appearances in A Different World, Empty Nest, and Fresh Prince. Also, he had a major role in The Mighty Ducks and D2 along with Vitar. Today he has done a little bit of voice work along with starting a solo rap career.

Bertram Grover Weeks - Grant Gelt

Gelt had a fairly active career when he was younger. He had roles in Steven Seagal's Marked for Death, along with appearing on TV shows Boy Meets World, Norther Exposure, and Life Goes On. After high school, he decided to go into management and today has a company managing rock bands.

Tommy "Repeat" Timmons - Shane Obedzinski

Obedzinski had a few minor roles in films when he was younger, but The Sandlot was his first and only "big" role. Not much is available on him today.

Timmy Timmons - Victor DiMattia

DiMattia had done a moderate bit of television work prior to The Sandlot, and continued for a bit afterwards. Much like his on-screen brother though, there is little on Victor today.

Wendy Peffercorn - Marley Shelton

Shelton has been seen in numerous movies since her time as our favorite lifeguard. Known for roles in Pleasentville, Uptown Girls, Sugar & Spice, and Planet Terror, she is the most active of the young crew from The Sandlot.

Wow....some of those kids really "Neville Longbottomed" as they say. Some still look just like they did.

A few of the cast got together for a game a couple of years ago for the film's 20th anniversary:

One thing is for certain: this movie will always be a part of my childhood. For-Ev-Er.

Who do you think has changed the most?
