Sibling rivalries can be difficult to manage. It could be inevitable but certainly not long lasting. What's a great way to end these sibling rivalries?
We, the community at Moviepilot, surely think quality movie time spent together could help! Here are three awesome animated movies that could make even the worst sibling rivals to bury the hatchet!
#1 Niko 2: Little Brother, Big Trouble (2012)
Official Synopsis: Niko, a young reindeer boy, secretly wishes his mom and his hero dad from Santa's world famous Flying Forces would get back together so they could be a real family – something they have never been. One day mom springs the news on Niko; she’s met a guy, an ordinary reindeer, Lenni, and he and his little son Jonni will be moving in. Niko's world is shaken: he will no longer be the only child. Furthermore, when called upon to look after this darn cute little stepbrother, Jonni goes missing and Niko must embark on a dangerous journey to save him.
Why it is AWESOME for Sibling Rivals: This animated feature from Finland is certainly not your typical family or festive movie. Despite touching on life issues that could be considered a taboo for movies intended for children, it is actually a very satisfying and enriching movie to watch. The reindeer brothers gradually learn to get along with each other over time and eventually become best friends forever after overcoming adversity together.
As for sibling rivals, they will have a fun time watching Niko 2: Little Brother, Big Trouble (2012), laughing at the endearing characters and adventure. Hopefully, this encourages them to accept one another after seeing the reindeer brothers' sincerity. Family values are strong and the importance of having a happy heart shows a lot in this movie so it is awesome! (Full review here)
#2 Frozen (2013)
Official Synopsis: Fearless optimist Anna teams up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven in an epic journey, encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf in a race to find Anna's sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.
Why it is AWESOME for Sibling Rivals: The biggest animation hit to date, Frozen (2013) is no stranger to households. Do I really need to explain why it is an amazing film? In brief, this animated feature has amazing music, lovable characters and plenty of valuable life lessons that will touch the hearts of us all!
Sibling rivals will become close again, just like Anna and Elsa after watching this! Lots of delightful singalongs and sweet memories is sure to be expected afterwards... and the rivalries will be long gone. (Follow me on Moviepilot to be one of the first to read my upcoming review of Frozen!)
#3 Song of the Sea (2014)
Official Synopsis: Based on the Irish legend of the Selkies, Song of the Sea tells the story of the last seal-child, Saoirse, and her brother Ben, who go on an epic journey to save the world of magic and discover the secrets of their past. Pursued by the owl witch Macha and a host of ancient and mythical creatures, Saoirse and Ben race against time to awaken Saoirse’s powers and keep the spirit world from disappearing forever.
Why it is AWESOME for Sibling Rivals: Last in the list, this beautifully animated feature from Ireland is one of the very few movies to get a rating of 10 out of 10 stars from me! I have analysed at least one hundred animated movies over the last year and I daresay, this is one of the very best out there for families because Song of the Sea (2014) is immensely heartwarming, entertaining and captivating!
For the sibling rivals, Ben and Saoirse will be sure to inspire them in many ways. These seal-child siblings are brave and they have learned a lot during their unexpected adventure. The eldest brother grows up most of all, becoming more open-minded and responsible as a big brother! This animated feature is truly magical and it is not difficult to love it! (Full review here)
