I'm a film reviewer who also has a keen eye for filmmaking

Predestination is directed by the Spierig brothers and stars Ethan Hawke, Sarah Snook and Noah Taylor. Ethan Hawke plays a temporal agent whose job is to travel through time to prevent drastic crimes from happening, here we see Hawke attempting to track down the "the fizzle bomber". That's all I can really say without spoiling the many twists and turns that are best experienced with very little prior knowledge.

This is by far one of the hidden gems of 2015, it is also one of the most complicated sci-fi films I have ever seen. First of all everyone is at the top of their game in this film. Ethan Hawke is pleasantly mysterious and Noah Taylor is just as intriguing, but the highlight is Sarah Snook who, from the very start, shows a lot of complexity with her more than meets the eye character.

Also the film is directed very well with every minor detail being taken into account. The dialogue scenes are constantly interesting and the fight scenes are dealt with very smoothly, even if there aren't that many.

There are a few pacing issues. The start does feel a bit slow and there are some parts through out that drag but as certain plot elements fall into place over the course of the film the revelations that occur become well worth the wait.

Despite it being slow to start with, the film eventually unravels this mind-bending story that make you keep coming back for more. This is a film that I strongly recommend to everyone, this film shouldn't go unnoticed.
