We know that Warner Bros. look to Batman as their easy money character. After the highly successful Christopher Nolan-directed Dark Knight Trilogy, it only took them three years from The Dark Knight Rises to give the character a completely new imagining in next year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Apparently, according to Den of Geek, a group of Warner Bros' bosses went to see a "near finished" product of the Zack Snyder-directed film. Apparently, the film was very satisfying for the WB bosses as they awarded the film with not only much applause but also giving the film a standing ovation!

This is extremely good news for me since I've been a huge supporter of the film since the very beginning. So if this rumor is true, then I am that much more excited to see the film.

But the good news doesn't end there!

Apparently, the attendees to this early screening were so impressed with Ben Affleck's portayal of the Dark Knight in the film that they are now entering into talks to start a new Batman solo trilogy starring the actor.

Den of Geek's source said that Warner Bros. view Ben Affleck as the "definitive Batman" are "now working their movie universe around Ben's Batman...". Wow! That's huge! I know a lot of people are looking to see someone other than Batman to lead the charge for the DCEU but Batman has always been a character to steal the thunder no matter what he's in whether it's a movie, book, or game.

This would be a huge deal for Ben Affleck and Warner Bros. alike. I think us Batman fans have felt the absence of his film presence ever since The Dark Knight Rises was released and have been dying to see more of the Dark Knight in future films. So I guess we're getting our wish!

This is all rumor for now though, so take it with some grain of salt, but I'm choosing to believe that this is not too far from the truth.

What do you guys think? Are you excited to see Ben Affleck be Batman? Do you think that he can carry a new trilogy? Do you even want to see a new Batman trilogy? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!
