So rumor has it, at a recent screening of the film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice the movie received a standing ovation from the studio. A big part of that praise was given to Ben Affleck for his portrayal of Bruce Wayne and his caped crusader alter ego. They liked him so much so that they signed him to a three movie deal to play Batman in his own solo trilogy. Now I for one could not be more excited; I have always been a huge Affleck fan! From star performances in flicks like Good Will Hunting to smaller cameos like in Clerks 2 where he plays an uptight Moobey's customer, there have been many moments where his acting has touched my heart or made me laugh out loud. Now his Batman looks like it will make me crap my pants because his Batman is scary. From what we've seen from trailers and from what has been reported, this Batman is a lot grittier and has been stricken by "the fever, that turns good men... cruel." Well I have a fever too, and the only prescription is more Batman solo films featuring Ben Affleck.

Now the next question has to be, how does it work? Affleck is in his 40s now and we can already expect him to be playing in the Justice League films as well as his large role in the Batman v Superman film and even his part in the upcoming Suicide Squad film (the extent to which he is featured in this film is still unknown). A three solo movie deal could easily lock Ben into playing the character for 10+ years, to which he will be in his 50s! However, we comic book enthusiasts know that 50 is not that old for Batman as he is said to be age 55 in the highly acclaimed Dark Knight Returns book. Also with Affleck churning out masterful performances as of late with films like Gone Girl, and showing incredible talent behind the camera, we can expect to see crowds lining up to see Affleck as Batman and can even see him directing at least two of his three solo adventures.

What do you think of the rumors of Ben Affleck being signed for a three movie deal to play Batman in his solo adventures? Are you excited for the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film, scheduled to come out March 25, 2016? Tell me what you think in the comments below!
