Okay, this is going to be short and sweet. I'm going to be completely honest about the Fantastic Four reboot. On Rotten Tomatoes it's sitting on a 9%, does it deserve that 9%? No. I would give it a 27% and here's why. Is it bad? Yes. Is it worse than the originals? NO. I'll be honest, I was interested and enjoyed about 65% of this movie. The character set up was fun, even the way it was executed was well done for the most part. Some bad acting pretty much throughout, and Dr. Doom was not done well. When he first shows up, it's brutal. But here's when things get awful. The 2nd and 3rd act feel like one act. It's forced, and underwhelming for sure. the characters don't work together, and it's honestly awkward as hell. But it is not worse than the originals, and you can tell when Josh Trank had his mental breakdowns and that him and Fox did not get along. I would like to see where Josh actually would've taken the film. It had so much potential. Do I think because him and Fox went head to head it hurt his reviews? Absolutely. The franchise has potential. This film had so much potential! I was really looking forward to this because it looked like we'd get a really good Fantastic Four film. I wish I could get into in detail, but to be honest it's very forgettable. You'll just have to see it for yourself.
