Everyone had the right to express who they are.

No matter if it's race, personality, likes. dislikes, or even sexuality... Everyone has a right to express who they are. Celebrities have it a little more rough then everyone else, they are put in the spotlight an everything that they do or say is bound to be on the front page of the tabloids and that is not always a bad thing. They teach us right from wrong, and more importantly... They show us that just because you're different doesn't mean you're weird or alone.

Here are a few celebs who are part of the LBGTQ community, and they are proud of it.

Raven Symone

The "That's So Raven" star came out in 2013 while commenting on the legalizing of gay marriage in several new states.

“I was excited to hear today that more states legalized gay marriage. I, however am not currently getting married, but it is great to know I can now, should I wish

Ellen Page

Ellen came out at the "Time to Thrive" LGBTQ conference in 2014 saying

“I’m tired of hiding. I’m tired of lying by omission.”

Soon after, she was interviewed on the topic by the talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Queen Latifah

Queen's sexuality has never been a secret, she was first photographed with her, now ex, girlfriend of 8 years Jeanette Jennings.

Michelle Rodriguez

"The Fast and Furious" actress came out in an interview with "Entertainment Weekly" in October 2013 saying

“I’ve gone both ways. I do as I please. I am too f**king curious to sit here and not try when I can. Men are intriguing. So are chicks.”

Robin Roberts

We first learned of Robin's sexuality back in 2013 when she expressed her gratitude to her girlfriend through a Facebook post saying

“I am grateful for my entire family, my long time girlfriend, Amber, and friends as we prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together.”

Jane Lynch

A a teen, Jane felt like she was "the only gay person in the world"... But as an adult, she is at peace with her sexuality. She married Lara Embry but unfortunately the two parted ways in 2013.

Jillian Michaels

Jillian is famous for her part on the series "The Biggest Loser" as a trainer. In 2010, she was interviewed by "Ladies Home Journal" and said this

“Let’s just say I believe in healthy love. If I fall in love with a woman, that’s awesome. If I fall in love with a man, that’s awesome.”

These are just a few of the celebrities that have broken the status quo to show who they really are. All of these people, and so many more, are a symbol for freedom and individuality in the world. Much respect to them <3
