The highly anticipated film Suicide Squad is a year away from release, yet it's still on the tip of our tongues. That's not very surprising, considering between now and the announcement of the movie, we've seen awesome set photos, and a widely accepted trailer that gave us a look at the villains in action. But the reveals didn't stop there. Just yesterday, Jared Leto took to Twitter and posted a photo, teasing a new outfit for the Joker. Check it out!
Even though we can only see his silhouette, doesn't the outfit look familiar?
The hat, as well as the short sleeves are very reminiscent of what the Joker was wearing in the graphic novel The Killing Joke. Considering Barbara Gordon will most likely be Oracle instead of Batgirl in Batman vs Superman, it would make sense to show us how she got there. We could possibly see a flashback, showing us the unfortunate events that resulted in Barbara being paralyzed..
For those of you who aren't familiar with The Killing Joke, it provides us with an origin story for the Joker. Written by Alan Moore and drawn by Brian Bolland, this controversial storyline has gained popularity as well as disgust since it was first published by DC Comics in 1988. Personally, I think it's a great story and I would love to see it all unfold on the big screen.
