Remember the times when your goal in life was to keep your Tamagotchi from shitting itself, when Furbys were all the rage and your shiny Charizard Pokemon card was what made you the envy of everyone at school?

Admittedly, all that's in the past now and the kids of today have moved on to bigger and better things to play with. But I bet you'll never believe how much people are still willing to pay for the toys that lie forgotten in your basement, just for that euphoric burst of nostalgia!

Prepare for your jaw to drop when you see how much the following 17 toys are going for on eBay and seriously question yourself... are these realistic price tags or are the sellers out of their mind?

1. Gameboy Color

Since the Gameboy Color, Nintendo has released many handheld game consoles. But there's just something about the original models that continues to set it apart from the others. Especially when it's paired with the Pokemon Yellow cartridge...

2. Nickelodeon alarm clock

A bright green digital time display, five super cool wake-up alarms (including Nickelodeon theme song!), full AM/FM radio and a lightning zigzag shaped night light!? No wonder kids loved it.

3. Your rarest Pokemon card

The mid-90s were awash with Pokemon cards, becoming a huge phenomenon at every school. (In fact, mine was so concerned with the trading game fueling a black market that they were even banned!)

Today, these cards appear to be selling for thousands online.

4. Tamogotchi

No matter how hard I tried, my Tamagotchi would always poop itself and then die. In the end, even my reset button broke because I tried to revive it too much.

5. Lego Pirate Ship

Since it came out, Lego has been a whirlwind success and The Lego Movie alone is proof at how far it's come. Today, certain discontinued sets are being sold for crazy prices, like this pirate ship for example.

I've also seen a Star Wars Millennium Falcon go for around $12,000!

Hasbro hit the jackpot when they released the Easy Bake Oven, giving kids all over the opportunity to make small snacks without (hopefully) burning down the kitchen.

7. Moon Shoes

Who didn't love wearing huge plastic shoes that make you feel like you're walking on a trampoline? They were first released in the 1950s, growing in success way into the 1990s. Today, it seems that people are willing to pay big money to own a pair.

8. Dream Phone

A couple of decades down the line, this concept is starting to sound really weird. Essentially, the game teaches young girls that true love is indeed out there, only if you're willing to compete with a few others girls to find it at the beach, gym, snack shock, movie theater or mall.

Naturally, solid life advice for all impressionable young ladies.

9. The Original Furby

Furbys hit the shelves in 1998, contributing to the insanity of parents all over the world. It just wouldn't shut up and I'm sure my mom and dad weren't the only ones who wanted to smash it to pieces with a sledgehammer.

If yours fought the urge however, you can now probably sell your original gremlin for a hefty price, like the one above.

10. A Super Soaker

Some of the original super soakers are going for colossal amounts online. Apparently, the newer versions just aren't good enough.

If you want to digivolve your Digimon, this one is going for close to $700 on eBay. Would you pay that?

Playmate Toys stopped production of the original line in 1997, leading to the anthropomorphic turtles swiftly becoming collectors items.

13. Sky Dancer

Oh man, I used to love my Sky Dancer. Today however, if you feel like launching the pretty ladies high into the air to watch them spin around, be willing to pay a lot for it.

14. Sega Genesis

Sega Genesis was the first gaming console many of us ever owned and I doubt I only speak for myself when I say I spent hours on it, rolling about as Sonic the Hedgehog.

15. Betty Spaghetty

The bendable rubber doll obsessed with changing her hairstyle and outfit was a hit with pre-teens. Hands down, she was the sassiest lady out there and somehow managed to never creep us out, despite the fact she could be completely pulled apart...

16. Polly Pocket

Since Mattel took over the brand, the new Polly Pockets just haven't been the same. I guess that's why there is such a big demand for the original play sets!

17. Mario Kart 64

One of the most beloved games in Nintendo history, the original Mario Kart is still as popular as ever. Sadly, the original cartridges sell for huge amounts, like this one for example.

Finally...

There's no gentle way to break this to you guys... your extensive Beanie Babies collective is still worth nothing!
