Ben Hardy's Angel is likely set to play a huge part in Bryan Singer's [X-Men: Apocalypse](tag:1194267) -- his comic book counterpart was strongly tied to Apocalypse, and it seems that at least one major scene will put the winged mutant in the middle of the action.

A little while back, Singer began sharing production art, and one particular piece stood out: Angel, caged and put on display above a crowd, with an announcer to showcase the bird in a cage scenario.

In an effort to loop the fans in on how production is coming, Singer offers a peek at the scene from the concept art, brought to life in a Fight Club-style cage match. It seems as though Angel has a foe to face, and likely not by choice:

It's no secret that the mistreatment of mutants is a deep-running problem that parallels many in real life, so seeing Angel caged and likely forced to fight whatever is coming for him isn't something out of the ordinary. At the very least, this will make an epic entrance for the character, but who is there to see -- or save -- him?

X-Men: Apocalypse premieres on May 27, 2016.
