OMGZHDFEKDSD. Excuse me while my inner child cries out with joy. It's rumored that Steven Spielberg is bringing Gene Wilder out of retirement to voice The BFG! This could be AMAZING.

As the original and only Willy Wonka (soz, Johnny), returning to the big screen after a super long hiatus to appear in another Roald Dahl adaptation would be perfect. Remember how awesome he was?

Last featuring in the TV movie Alice in Wonderland alongside Whoopi Goldberg and Robbie Coltrane and a cameo in Will & Grace in 2003, Mr. Wilder has been out of the Hollywood loop for over a decade.

Wilder announced his retirement in 2008 and since then has written a memoir, Kiss Me Like a Stranger: My Search for Love and Art.
