When assembling a team, many factors must be taken into account. Weaponry, skills, intelligence, and experience are among the most important. The best teams have a good balance of all these traits to form a cohesive fighting unit. However, sometimes the best team for the job are simply the most batsh*t crazy people who will go to the most extreme lengths that others wouldn't dare to go. So, without further ado, I present to you my draft picks for The Mad Hitters!

Team Captain: The Joker

Universe of origin: DC Comics

"Introduce a little anarchy, upset the established order, and everything becomes chaos." Never has a more twisted quote perfectly summed up the speaker. None match the Joker's level of insanity, but his true talents lie in his ability to plan so far ahead that he knows the endgame before his opponents have even stepped onto the playing field. This makes him the perfect team leader for a group of people who can almost match him in madness.

Pick #1: Deadpool - The Specialist

Universe of origin: Marvel Comics

In any list of crazy characters, Deadpool is bound to show up at some point. At which point he questions why he's not higher on said list. Besides his multiple inner voices and complete lack of sanity, Deadpool is one of the most gifted combatants in the Marvel Universe. In fact, he's so unpredictable, he's capable of outwitting Taskmaster in a straight fight. He is also an expert marksman with his dual handguns, and possesses a healing factor so powerful that he can regenerate his entire body from just his head. In a team of crazy people, Deadpool is a wild card and a specialist rolled into one.

Pick #2: Krieg - Heavy Hitter

Universe of origin: Borderlands

A failed experiment of the Hyperion corporation, Krieg is a Psycho with two separate personalities, one inner voice of reason, and his outer persona, one of complete madness and vengeance. With access to millions (yes, millions) of guns, as well as his signature Buzz Axe, Krieg is the heaviest hitter on a planet of heavy hitters.

Pick #3: River Tam - The Infiltrator

Universe of origin: Firefly/Serenity

A child prodigy with the subliminal training of a government assassin, River Tam escaped the military facility where she was created with the help of her brother Simon, where she then joined the crew of the Firefly-class ship Serenity. River boasts unparalleled agility, stamina, and fighting ability, which makes her an ideal infiltrator and spy. The experiments performed on her also gave her psychic abilities, at the cost of her sanity, which is why she can only get glimpses of even the most sensitive information she may have overheard mentally. Despite her apparent lack of sanity, she is still the least insane person on a team that is severely lacking in sanity.

So, there you have it! My picks for The Mad Hitters, a team which is just a few cans shy of a twelve pack. Let me know what you think in the comments below!
