I have to admit, before I saw this movie, I kind of liked it. But other people went on ahead and didn't even try to watch it. Mostly because of the black Human Torch and Doctor Doom being a hacker, who's name wasn't even Victor Von Doom-which it was-. But if you haven't seen the movie and don't wanna watch it, I recommend you see it first, whether on the Internet or in the movies, you might actually like it.
SPOILER ALERT,DON'T READ ON IF YOU DON'T WANNA BE SPOILED
So, lets start on the horrible F4 costumes
Now, the costumes that are more like the comics should appear in the sequel, if there is one, but people complained that it wasn't in this movie. Don't give your hopes up just yet, this movie was more of an origin story than a story about THE Fantastic Four. at this point of the movie, they weren't even a team, not until the end.
As for Doom, he was going into another dimension. The energy burned in his space suit, and he fell into the energy. After a year, he's gonna look like that, but it's the first movie! He might add some improvements, maybe get that cape cleaned off too, and turn into the super villain we know and love.
Now obviously Sue loves music
She stated in the that music helps her concentrate. Concentration is how she uses her powers, she also stated that music has a pattern as well a people, which makes sense because force fields has patterns. Some were confused as to why she needed to like music, but to me, this is genius.
Black Human Torch-don't start with the'he got so burned he turned black' jokes-
Michael B. Jordan is, I get it, black, not like the comics, but this doesn't change anything. He's a great actor, and he was spot on in this movie.
I didn't cover everything, but that would take forever. I'm just giving you some examples of how the movie wasn't as bad as we think. We get a relationship between Sue and Reed, brother and sister love between the adopted Sue and Johnny, childhood best friends relationship between Reed and Ben, a death of-I did warn you about the spoilers- Franklin Storm, and even the Thing's famous catch phrase,
So it's certainly not the best movie, at all, but if the rights aren't sold to Marvel, a sequel might be the best Fantastic Four movie ever-at least until ANOTHER reboot-.
