As a fan of NBC's Constantine, I was incredibly sad that the network chose not to give it a second season. It had built up to a great climax by the end of its first season and I was looking forward to seeing where it would go next. But, fear not Hellblazer fans, for yesterday we got word that our favorite Exorcist, Demonologist, and Master of the Dark Arts will be reappearing this fall on Arrow.

Actor Matt Ryan himself sent out a tweet confirming the report:

The episode Ryan is appearing in is, rather aptly, titled "Haunted." It will be the fifth episode of the season.

In an interview with TV Insider, Arrow's showrunner, Marc Guggenheim, spoke about the episode and Contstantine's involvement, saying that it will be centered around former Black Canary Sara Lance. Now we know that Sara was killed last season on the show, but we also know that she is set to return for The CW's DC's Legends of Tomorrow. In the trailer for the show we see Sara rising up from the Lazarus Pit. The Pit throughout its history has been known to have extra effects on those who use it, most recently Thea Queen was saved through use of it.

Guggenheim has said that Constantine's appearance will factor into the whole situation of Sara's resurrection:

"Unlike Thea, who wasn’t fully dead, the consequences of using the pit on someone as dead as Sara was creates some unforeseen difficulties," said Guggenheim. "And John Constantine is uniquely suited to help our team deal with those."

There has been no word yet on whether or not any other members of Constantine's crew will show up with him. Fans can only hope that an appearance on Arrow could reopen the doors for Constantine on TV.

Arrow Season 4 will premiere Oct. 7 on The CW.
