Ronda Rousey, Women's Bantamweight UFC champion made the rounds recently when she expressed her will to play Captain Marvel. A superhero who is getting her very own film soon, from Marvel studios. It would mark one of the few times where a female superhero is in the spotlight, the previous films being Catwoman (2003) and Elektra (2005). So, fingers crossed.

Rousey likely won't get the call by Marvel, since you know, she's not an actress. But she seems to be doing fine in the UFC.

She keeps going. Scary, I know.
She keeps going. Scary, I know.

But, it raises the question. Who will be getting the call from Marvel to play Captain Marvel?

So here's some fan casting for ya!

Margot Robbie

My goodness.
My goodness.

First of all, I believe when God was creating us all, he told everyone else 'Shut up, I'm making Margot here.' he clearly took his time with her.

Apart from being utterly beautiful. Margot Robbie can actually act, as she showed in this year's Focus and Z For Zachariah. She's more than just a pretty face, and by the sounds of it, is pretty tough. An ideal candidate for Captain Marvel.

If only she weren't busy playing some other massively popular comic book character.

Katee Sackhoff

Fan favorite, Katee Sackhoff revealed that there actually were some talks with Marvel. She hasn't had much luck in the feature film world, and that's sad. She was recently seen in the uneventful Riddick (2013).

Alicia Vikander

My personal favorite casting choice would be Alicia Vikander. She was stunning in Ex Machina earlier this year. Now I know, many of you'll say 'She's too tiny or puny to be Captain Marvel.' Well, look at what happened to Wonder Woman. It can and will work!

So, who would be the best Captain Marvel?
