UK fans of Jurassic World are in for a treat as the highly anticipated sequel starring both Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be released in the UK two weeks earlier than it's release in the US!

'Jurassic World 2' (or 'Jurassic Park 5') is set for release on June 22, 2018 in the US, however Universal Studios has announced that the film will be released on the earlier time of June 7, 2018 in the UK!

Jurassic World was released on June 12 this year and has gone on to become the biggest movie of the Year, earning over $1.5 billion and earning its spot as the third highest grossing film of ALL Time. Its immediate success shocked movie critics and without a doubt, reinvigorated the Jurassic Park franchise.

The sequel was confirmed last month with both Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard returning as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing. Steven Spielberg is set to return as Executive Producer and Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow will re-join the group, writing the film this time instead. These returns have led fans to hope for even more familiar faces such as Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins or for older Jurassic alumni such as Sam Neill or Jeff Goldblum.

Trevorrow recently suggested that the sequel may not take place on an island and perhaps will deal with bringing Dinosaurs into the real world. Great way for the sequel to stay true to the Jurassic World title!

I for one cannot wait for the sequel! Jurassic World 2 will hit theatres in the UK on June 7, 2018 and the US on June 22, 2018.
