As if we couldn't love and miss Robin Williams any more than we already do, one year after his tragic death we have discovered that the incredible star donated tens of thousands of dollars to charity without telling anyone.
In 2004, 2007 and 2008, it has recently been revealed, Robin Williams performed stand-up comedy sets at a Seattle nightclub and then donated all the proceeds to a local food bank. The takings reportedly came to around $50K, and, rather than creating a scene, Williams handed the cash over quietly in yet another example of the beloved star's genuine golden heart and selfless nature.
Executive Director of the Seattle Club 'Showbox,' Fran Yeatts, commented that Williams never once asked for any recognition.
"I was just astounded, Robin Williams is the type of person who really understands there are a lot of people who are really, really struggling."
The Hollywood legend ended his life on August 11, 2014 after a long battle with depression. However, he will be remembered as a kind-souled, comedic genius, forever preserved through his excellent work and inspirational attitude.
"I don't know how much value I have in this universe, but I do know that I've made a few people happier than they would have been without me, and as long as I know that, I'm as rich as I ever need to be."
