You've got to love hearing licensed music in Video Games. I still hear hit songs from the 80s and think of Vice City. Having never really listened to Hip Hop or Rap in my life, San Andreas was my introduction to some astounding artists. But GTA IV and GTA V never really had that affect on me. Hearing, Shine A Light during Michael's trippy run-in with some aliens though was incredible - I still listen to that song a lot!

The radio stations in the Grand Theft Auto franchise are key to establishing a tone and place for Rockstar. The chat stations are vital too, but as you blast through the city as a song comes on that you really love, there's nothing quite like it. Hopefully GTA 6 will allow for us to use Spotify or something similar as an in-game app, allowing us to play whatever we want. But that might be a bit far off. In any case, GTA 6 has some seriously amazing radio stations to contend with!

Can GTA 6 Beat These Amazing GTA Radio Stations On its Release Date?

Has there ever been better music in a game than Vice City? Along with the amazing colour scheme, Rockstar transported players to a world of such incredible sights and sounds. 1980s Miami was so much fun to traverse and I think I can recall almost every section of that map by heart. Haven't felt like that with a game in a very long time!

GTA 3

All that I can remember from GTA 3 was Flashback 95.6 and Chatterbox FM. The latter was hilarious and the former brought some amazing tunes like "Push it to the Limit"! If you have any other stations that you feel rival these two, let us know in the comments. But I don't think GTA 6 will have much trouble topping GTA 3's radio stations.

What can we say that hasn't been said a million times? Let's just make a list of songs that blew our minds. "I Ran (So Far Away)", "Broken Wings", "The Message", "More Than This", "Too Young to Fall in Love", "(I Just) Died in Your Arms", "All Night long", "Summer Madness", "I Wanna Rock You", "Billie Jean", "Out of Touch". Jesus, the list just goes on and on!

GTA San Andreas

Off the top of my head, some great stations come to mind from GTA San Andreas! Radio Los Santos with its West Coast Hip Hop and Master Sounds 98.3 with some rare groove. San Andreas was a remarkable game set during the year I was born as a matter of fact. The 90s, a strange time in our history... Radio X was also a fantastic station in this game and I wonder whether GTA 6 can bring things back to the level of quality San Andreas demonstrated.

GTA IV

To be honest, I think GTA IV had the worst music of the series. It was a great game at the time, but it's probably my least favourite instalment in the franchise. That being said, it did have some go-to radio stations. Vladivostok FM had some good stuff, along with Electro Choc. The Vice City station doesn't really count seeing as it was borrowing from a far superior game.

GTA V

Even though GTA V is a remarkable game, when it came to its stations, there wasn't much there in terms of music. They had some hilarious chat shows, but aside from FlyLo FM, which does have some fantastic tunes, there was nothing I really enjoyed listening to. What about you guys? Do you think GTA 6 can bring the music in this series back to its glory days?
