We all remember the time we witnessed our first bromance. We may not have understood it, but we knew it was something special. Here’s a top ten of some of the most memorable bromantic movie or television couples. Hopefully, they’ll make you believe in love again.
10. John Dorian (J.D.) and Christopher Turk.
The couple that gave us the ultimate bromance song, "Guy Love," JD and Turk had an extremely close relationship, even for best friends. These roommates/life partners gave us friendship envy for years and they’re just the beginning of this bromance list.
9. Mike Ross, Harvey Specter and Louis Litt
Sparks fly between these three great lawyers. In fact, the whole show revolves around the relationship between Mike and Harvey while Louis sulks in the corner feeling excluded.
8. Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen
Aside from their amazing on-screen chemistry, these two amazing actors are best friends in real life. They have the sweetest and one of the most envious friendships out there.
7. Seth Rogen and James Franco
Any time these two are on screen there is a clear connection. Whether they’re biking through a fake desert or fighting to survive the apocalypse, these two are a power couple.
6. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler
While this is technically a "womance" or whatever the equivalent of the girl version of a bromance is, their friendship/love is undeniable and deserves a mention.
5. Troy Barnes and Abed Nadir
This was by far the best relationship in Community, and watching Troy leave was not only heartbreaking, but felt like betrayal. If there is such a thing as soul mates, these guys are that. Perhaps in an alternative TV reality they’re living out their bromance with lots of adventures.
4. Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart
These late night lovebirds have dominated Comedy Central for well over a decade and their bromance has flourished into a relationship we all long for.
3. 21 Jump Street / 22 Jump Street - Morton Schmidt and Greg Jenko
They are definitely a couple for the bromance history books. They are sweet crazy opposites who just can’t seem to get it right, but at least they have each other.
2. Paul Walker and Vin Diesel
This relationship gave us the best racing movies of all time. In fact, Furious 7 gave us the best ending fans could have asked for. Paul Walker may not be with us anymore, but Brian O'Conner lives on in the franchise, happily with his family and retired from racing.
1. Captain Kirk and Spock
Remember that moment in Star Trek into the Darkness when Captain Kirk dies? That was the greatest bromantic moment in film history. The love was so beautiful it pierced even the darkest of souls, which is why they deserve the ultimate bromance crown.
