One of the things I really like about comics, is the multiple interpretations their heroes get though the years.

Classic iconic characters, seen through a different lens, in alternate worlds given a whole new perspective.

Red Son was one of the top in my list. One of the most ultimate “what ifs”!

First published in 2003, by artists Dave Johnson and Kilian Plunkett, and writer mastermind Mark Millar, depicting the story of an alternate scenario Man of Steel, who’s spaceship doesn’t land in the US, but the USSR.

What if that so unique and recognizable American symbol, wasn’t American at all? If you ...haven’ t read that story, make sure you do!

So I have always wanted to make my own illustration of that gray and red, Russian Superman, in a more somehow realistic, live action approach, with the most recent Man of Steel, Henry Cavill.
