Have you ever played a really good video game and thought that it would make the perfect TV series or movie? Have you ever looked at a certain character and contemplated which actor could play him/her? Well look no further because I have got the article for you! Before I start off my list, I just want to say one thing....

THE ARKHAM SERIES DOES NOT COUNT.

The series is being adapted into the DC Animated Universe so therefore it doesn't qualify for this list.

5. Injustice: Gods Among US

The critically acclaimed fighter based in the DC Universe has spawned a prequel comic book series and there is also a sequel to the game in the works. The game is set in an alternate version of the Justice League's universe. Superman establishes a regime to "protect" the world after Joker tricks him into killing a pregnant Lois Lane and destroying Metropolis. Trying to overthrow this dictatorship, Batman assembles members of the Justice League from the mainstream universe to join his insurgency.

The game has enough content to work as a mini-series, but I could see this as a two part Justice League movie in DC's "Phase 2" that could act as the Expanded Universes version of Crisis on Infinite Earths, joining the DCEU and DCTV universes together. Also, who doesn't want to see Henry Cavill fighting an evil version of himself?

4. Far Cry 3

Whilst I could include the full Far Cry series, the third has always been a stand-out for not only myself but many video game fans out there. The game has many memorable sequences, but the stand-out of the game has to be Vaas. The game's main villain was threatening, insane, violent and so charismatic that you had to love him. If you were to make a film for this game you would not have to look far for a character to portray Vaas, as Michael Mando perfectly embodies the character. Take a look at the web series The Vaas Montenegro Experience to fully understand how he becomes Vaas

3. Red Dead Redemption

I am certain that everyone saw this one coming, the game that made all men cry. If you could adapt this film onto the big screen, you could revive the entire western genre. A game full of violence, gun fights and a strong male lead, this has a Tarantino masterpiece written all over it! Can you imagine entering Mexico for the first time on the big screen?

2. Skyrim

The entire Elder Scrolls series could be adapted onto television but I instead opted for it's (arguably) greatest game, Skyrim. With its several storylines, Skyrim could spawn several seasons, each based on its many stories. You could have one series based on the Dark Brotherhood, Skyrim's Civil War and even the Thieves Guild, all of them leading up to the battle between Dragonborn and Alduin. With Game of Thrones finishing up within the next five years, HBO could always adapt a new fantasy series to be their new flag ship show.

1. Grand Theft Auto

Can you imagine a bigger event than a Grand Theft Auto series? The biggest game series in the world, turned into a TV series. A four season series based on the events of Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City and GTA V. GTA V would be the perfect standalone series due to it's three character story arc, engrossing overall storyline and that the three main characters could be portrayed by their voice actors. Steven Oggs is just the living breathing embodiment of Trevor Phillips, let's hope he's not exactly like Mr Phillips though, for all our safety.

Also let's face it, the Grand Theft Auto series has provided better storyline's and acting than most TV series' now a days, so why not just make it a TV series?

Do you have any games that you would like to see adapted onto the big screen? Let me know in the comments!
