Music can certainly make or break a movie and I'm not just talking about the soundtrack. Music scores have a way of adding more emotion than just visuals alone. Here are 5 of my all-time favorites from some incredible movies!

5. How to Train Your Dragon

Written by John Powell, the incredible score to How to Train Your Dragon really makes you feel like you're flying with Hiccup and Toothless!

4. Pirates of the Caribbean

Who would Captain Jack Sparrow be without the accompaniment of Klaus Badelt's incredible score? Still a swashbuckling bad-ass but still not quite as awesome.

3. Lord of the Rings

This score, written by Howard Shore, won the 2004 Oscar for best original score. Along with many more awards for his music, Shore's score brilliantly complimented the epic tale of good versus evil.

2. Jaws

A shot of a person swimming in the ocean is not at all terrifying until you add the score from Jaws to it. John William's revolutionary score is what made this movie so great. You know right when you hear those two notes (you know the ones I'm talking about) what is going to happen next.

1. Star Wars

When it comes to scores, John Williams is the O.J. (original Jedi). There are very few who don't know the main theme or Darth Vader's character motif music. You're probably humming it right now!

Music makes the movie...

Could you imagine any of these films with different music? It would completely change the feel of scene at any given point which could have completely altered the success of the franchises as a whole. What movies do you think have the best scores? Let me know in the comments!
