D23 has been the talk of the inter webs this weekend, and according to almost everyone, security was very tight which meant there were little to no leaks over the weekend. What we've gotten instead is some descriptions of the Captain America Civil War trailer, Doctor Strange concept art descriptions, and news on a huge new expansion to Disney Theme Parks. Thanks to the official Disney Twitter, however, we now have some concept art for the expansion, check it out below!

During D23, the Wrap reported that Bob Iger(the chairman and chief executive officer of The Walt Disney Company) took the stage to give some details about the long rumored Star Wars Land. The expansion will consist of an extra 14 acres added to both Disneyland in Anaheim California and Disney World Resort in Orlando Florida. Star Wars Land will transport guests to a new planet inspired by the Star Wars films full of aliens, droids, and humans. Hopefully, we'll even see some of our favorite characters ready for photo shoots and autographs as well. The expansion is the largest ever single-addition the parks have ever made, a change that Iger promises will by a "wholly unique experience", via the Wrap.

There will be many Star Wars themed rides, attractions, shops, and restaurants around the park including a life sized Mos Eisley Cantina and the iconic Millennium Falcon. It's no surprise that Disney has chosen Star Wars as their new expansion as the films have been a phenomenon since their release decades ago and Star Wars the Force Awakens looks set to be one of the highest grossing movies of all time. I can't wait to go to Star Wars land once it's finished, though no dates of any sort were provided. However, hopefully in the near future we'll hear about more expansion to the House of Mouse, possibly including more Marvel themed attractions. For now though, we can all be thankful that we're getting what looks to be one of the most exciting additions Disney has ever made!
