In the season 1 finale of the CW's The Flash, Barry Allen travels back in time to the night his mother was murdered by the Reverse-Flash a.k.a Eobard Thawne, where also the Future Flash (the one with the white logo) was fighting him. Well at first, it seems pretty straight forward why Barry didn't save his mother - his Future self warned him not to, for reasons yet unknown, as he may know the consequences of saving Nora Allen from dying.
But then again, the timeline in which Barry came from, originated from that point in the time stream, and him going back in time would altered the alternate timeline, i.e, as our Barry didn't see the Future Flash warning young Barry's alternate future self not to save his mother. Nor did the flashbacks of the Flash and Reverse-Flash fighting, show the Flash warning our Barry not to intervene.
That's right, fellas. THIS means that when our Barry went back in time to that night, he actually created an another alternate timeline, which was extremely similar to that of the current alternate one, except that the young Barry in this new alternate timeline could have got a glimpse of the Future Flash and the Reverse Flash altogether. And even so, after Barry just bid goodbye to his mother, instead of saving her, went back to HIS future, which was exactly the same. And by that, I mean it didn't change at all. And Barry's alternate timeline, WOULD NOT change even if Barry saved his mother. Instead, it would just create an alternate timeline which would be similar to the original timeline, IF Barry had saved his mother.
This would mean that young Barry in the alternate new timeline would have had a similar life to that of the original timeline Barry Allen, if our Barry had saved his mother.
And just to get you all fans pumped up for season 2, not that you don't know, the main villain is Zoom, otherwise known as Hunter Zolomon. Wally West and Jay Garrick will be joining Team Flash, and Cisco and Caitlin will have begun their transformation to Vibe and Killer Frost, respectively. I want to know who Tom Cavanagh would be playing - Harrison Wells or Eobard Thawne from a parallel Earth in the Multiverse. Just so that you all get reminded, Barry is gonna get a new suit with the white emblem, which is closer to the one in the comics.
Will Barry begin a similar transformation to that of his Future self?

Well, to be frank, Season 1 was one great season of an excellent show. I am getting impatient for Season 2, which is set to premiere on October 6th, 2015. Not 2024! Haha. Thanks for reading.
