In 2010, the best selling book series Percy Jackson and the Olympians had come to the big screen. Many fans were disappointed by The Lightning Thief, because the writers had failed to bring the book to life. The actors were too old to play 12 year olds, there were many plot holes. It just didn't work.
After The Lightning Thief being a flop in the box office, questions arose if there would be another Percy Jackson movie, and for awhile all we got was rumors. But, in 2011, it was confirmed that there would be a sequel based on the 2nd book in the series 'Sea of Monsters.'
In August 2013, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters was released. While the writers attempted to get closer to the book, it was still another flop at the box office. Now in 2015, we're still getting rumors of a 3rd Percy Jackson movie. If 20th Century Fox was to give it a go, we'd be getting Percy Jackson: The Titan's Curse.
Yet recently, Logan Lerman (who played the famed Percy Jackson) has said there's been no talks and it's highly unlikely. So, at this point our best option would be a reboot. But, could 20th Century Fox give it a go, or would it be better to hand the rights to another studio? I believe our best option, would be a TV series. But, who could pick it up you ask? Netflix does really well with their TV series, if they're willing to.
