It's been a whole year since we were first introduced to the brilliantly eerie playable teaser for the new upcoming Silent Hills game. The playable teaser was simply dubbed 'P.T.' by Konami who stated that this was merely an introduction to the level of fear that was to come.

It was the collaboration that shocked the gaming world. Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro were to unite to produce the world's scariest, most terrifying horror game to date.

Sadly this wasn't to be, Silent Hills under the Kojima regime is no longer in development. But, those of you lucky enough to download the game before it was pulled from stores have been finding even more awesome content within the game.

The Horror

P.T. was the unrivaled champion of horror at Gamescom 14. I would stretch to say that it even bested many other horror titles that were released in 2014. P.T. immediately took the player out of their comfort zone. It was a truly awkward game to play. And I loved it!

This brilliant game never allowed for a relaxed breath or a moment's respite. This was part of its genius, not a whole lot actually happens in P.T. but by the time you reach the end, you are utterly exhausted. The atmosphere and anticipation were more damaging than Lisa (the ghost) herself.

Upon its original reveal players assumed that P.T. would be somewhat of a linear scare-fest, but as time progressed more and more elements came into play. It certainly became more of an engaging experience rather than another cheap jump scare piece.

Over the course of the year, players have found new elements to explore and new features to exploit, but a whole year on, there can't be more hidden horrors - can there?

The New Horror

While players from around the world have stated that they have seen the apparition of Lisa in newer, stranger locations in P.T., it wasn't until recently that evidence was actually captured.

New video evidence now proves that Lisa is haunting and stalking the player from the get-go. From the moment the game begins, Lisa is with you. In the first room of the game where you encounter the highly disturbing talking bag, Lisa can be seen watching you from the corner of the room.

To see this for yourself, Reddit user metatronicsauce explains that there is a certain protocol to follow.

“After you get trapped in the bathroom and are forced to be possessed on the next loop, get killed by Lisa to get back to the room you start in. If you exit the room backwards, you will see Lisa very briefly before you enter the hallway.”

This is backed up by YouTuber unitedplayersclub PS4 who followed the instructions above. True horror fans will adjust their volume now and play the following video on full volume... Are you brave enough?

Awesome! I can't believe that this has not been found before. It gets me thinking, though, just what else lies undiscovered in P.T.?

Del Toro Out for Good

Breaking News: Silent Hills director, Guillermo del Toro has revealed in a recent interview with Shacknews that he will no longer pursue any projects within the video game industry.

Following the crash at THQ and the implosion at Konami, both of which Guillermo del Toro was tied into, Toro has decided to permanently stay clear of the video game industry.

“I have proven to be the albatross of video games, I joined THQ, and THQ goes broke. I join Kojima, and Kojima leaves Konami. I have decided, in order not to destroy anyone else’s life, I have decided I will never again get involved in video games. Otherwise, I’ll join someone and his house will explode, or something.”

This will come as hugely devastating news to movie goers and gamers alike. I would have loved to have seen a horror title put into production with his direction, Silent Hills could have been the definitive horror experience. Thanks again, Konami!

The world remains hopeful that we may still see a Silent Hills revival some time soon. We are ready to venture out into the unknown realms of Silent Hill once again!
