You know him from Harry Potter, Doctor Who and other films and TV Shows. John Hurt is amazing and we love him but unfortunately he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer back at June. Today, the knighted actor says that his cancer treatment is going ''terrifically well'' and that he's ''optimistic'' about the future.
According to the Mirror.co.uk:
The actor, 75, who announced he had pancreatic cancer in June, said: “I can’t say I worry about mortality, but it’s impossible to get to my age and not have a little contemplation of it.
“We’re all just passing time, and occupy our chair very briefly. But my treatment is going terrifically well, so I’m optimistic.”
If you didn't know, John Hurt was knighted in July by the Queen of England:
In the interview with the Radio Times, Sir John spoke about being knighted in July by the Queen.
He said: “I did nothing to encourage it. Some people do, you know.
“I like being Sir John – it works, doesn’t it? Or John. The only thing that sticks in my craw is when people say, ‘Mr Hurt’. I tell them it’s no longer correct.”
Well, I hope that he will make more movies and star in more TV shows because he's one of a kind! I'm glad to know that he's doing well with his cancer treatment!
