The film was released in Neutral countries in 2003-2005, predicting that a person of Norwegian identity would destroy an important landmark in Norway. In the film: the Royal Norwegian castle was blown up by one guy!
In reality, the Government-building was blown up by one guy.
In the film: a Norwegian guy went berserk with a machinegun against all the workers in the society on an Island.
In reality: a Norwegian guy went berserk with a machinegun against the young-labourparty on an Island.
The movie paints a society (The Norwegian) where there is no free speech, and because of this something bad is doomed to happen from within! You cannot put a lid on any society, and simply expect the pressure to go away! It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out, only a filmmaker working for free speech!
The film was distributed in 14 countries when it was finished from 2003 up to 2006, but it wasn't distributed in it's home territory of Norway until several years after the terrorist attack in 2011. The point of media is to let society breeth!
