A movie's shooting script is the one that they use on set, and in most cases it's pretty mundane and boring. A standard shooting script is there for reference, so that members of the cast and crew can re-work scenes, call for lines, etc. However, the Suicide Squad shooting script is a little bit special.
Check out this Twitter photo taken by writer and director David Ayer:
In potentially one of the coolest shooting scripts ever, this one teases out that Arkham could play a big part in 2016's Suicide Squad, in which case, it might make sense that the Joker and Harley Quinn are in escape mode in the now infamous purple Lamborghini that we've seen photos of from the set.
It also reads, "Silence Is Golden, Duct Tape Is Silver" on the cover. An interesting mantra that vaguely alludes to violence and torture. It feels like a very confidential item, which makes sense, given that it wouldn't be very good at all if the script was stolen.
It also reads "City of Gotham" and "Public Health Services", as part of the Arkham logo. I don't know about you, but this has me pretty hyped for what's in store next year. It's pretty much a full year until this movie hits theaters, but I think there are so many reasons to be excited for this film.
I really think the Joker performance from Jared Leto is going to shock people. I'm also really anxious to see Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn. I'm hyped! With [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870) and Suicide Squad, I think DC is going to firmly implant itself back in the discussion with Marvel. I think a strong rivalry is healthy and good for the fans. Can't wait.
'Suicide Squad' hits theaters August 5, 2016.
