Last year a new type of Vampire movie hit screens when we split our sides watching Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement's mockumentary film What We Do in the Shadows.
The film followed a house full of Wellington, New Zealand based vampires trying to integrate into 21st Century life as best they could. The mockumentary is hilarious, and received rave reviews from critics, and now it seems like it's going to get a sequel!
According to the Seattle Times, Jemaine Clement confirmed that he and Waititi are currently in the planning stages of a sequel which will focus on the Werewolf contingent, specifically their leader Anton (Rhys Darby). Anton will be best remembered by fans for his famous "werewolves not swearwolves" line.
But time will only tell when fans can expect the sequel, with both Waititi and Clement (who starred as Viago and Vladislav in the film) managing an extremely busy schedule. Waititi is currently helping write the screenplay for Disney's next princess film, Moana as well as writing and directing the New Zealand comedy film Hunt for the Wilderpeople. Meanwhile Clement's latest film People Places and Things was just released, and he has also just confirmed a role in the upcoming Roald Dahl classic The BFG.
But whenever the What We Do In The Shadows sequel hits screens, there's no doubt there'll be a bloodthirsty audience waiting to drink it in.
